TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  1. Booking and availability
    1. If you have booked your order directly through butterhalfseattle.com and selected a pickup date and time upon checkout, your booking is confirmed upon payment. In the rare case of a scheduling conflict or overbooking, you will be contacted regarding next steps at the discretion of the owner
    2. If you have contacted us regarding a custom order and have received a custom invoice via email from the owner, your order will not be booked until receipt of payment. We cannot hold or guarantee availability until booked. Booking must be completed a minimum of 1 week in advance of your requested pickup/delivery date unless noted otherwise on your invoice. Availability is subject to change before booking and your order may need to be rescheduled or canceled at the discretion of the owner if booking is not completed at the time the invoice is issued
  2. Pickups
    1. Most orders will be available for self-serve pickup in our outdoor pickup refrigerators, known as the "Cake Coop". Please be on time for your scheduled pickup time. If you need to reschedule your pickup time, please notify with at least 48hr notice. 
    2. Orders not picked up within 1hr of the scheduled pickup time cannot be guaranteed for freshness, integrity or quality. We time our production according to your expected arrival and some cakes cannot sit in refrigeration or under weather conditions as long as others. If you arrive outside of this window and experience an issue with your order, no refund will be given and repairs will be at the discretion and availability of the owner. 
    3. If the owner has concern about your particular cake's time sensitivity due to specific conditions or decorative elements, you may be contacted sooner.
    4. Orders not picked up within 3 hours of the scheduled window will receive one contact from the owner in attempt to reschedule pickup at the discretion and availability of the owner. 
    5. Orders not picked up within 1 day of the scheduled window will no longer be available for pickup in most cases and no refunds will be given
  3. Cancelations/Rescheduling/Change Requests
    1. If you need to cancel, reschedule, or modify your order, a minimum of 72hr notice is needed. Refunds can be offered for cancelations occurring 72hr or more in advance. Reschedule requests made at any time are subject to availability. Change requests will be at the discretion of the baker and may incur additional fees related to scope change if applicable. Cancelation or reschedule requests made with less than 72hr notice are not guaranteed and refunds are at the discretion of the owner. 
  4. Damages
    1. All cakes are photographed just before being placed in the pickup station and are guaranteed for quality until 1 hour beyond the scheduled pickup time. Any damages that occur after this time, during transport or once they arrive to their destination, are not the responsibility of the owner and repairs may be requested at the availability and discretion of the owner.
